How MedicAlert Works in an Emergency
- First responders and emergency medical personnel are trained to check for the MedicAlert® emblem upon contact.
- Every MedicAlert® emblem is engraved with the member’s medical condition, a member ID number and the MedicAlert® 24-hour Emergency Hotline number ensuring emergency medical personnel are immediately aware of serious or chronic medical conditions.
- With one call to the MedicAlert® 24-hour Emergency Hotline, emergency personnel have immediate access to the member’s health record containing information on existing medical conditions, allergies, medications, medical devices, as well as the names and phone numbers of the member’s physician and family contacts.
- Immediate access to vital medical information ensures medical personnel can respond with appropriate and timely treatment.
Much More Than Just a Bracelet. Security and peace of mind are just some of the benefits!
