Since 2015, MedicAlert has partnered with law enforcement agencies across Canada to ensure subscribers in their communities are provided the best possible protection during a health emergency. We would like to welcome some of our newest services to join the Connect Protect program bringing our total to 53 communities and Canada’s national rail service. Learn more about Connect Protect and if your community is on the list!

In other news, starting this fall for, the first time, fire fighters will be directly linked to MedicAlert's data via the Connect Protect program’s HELP-9-1-1 Project. Ottawa Fire Service dispatch will have direct access to MedicAlert database. They will be able to share key pieces of information with responding units before they arrive at a fire event – things such as de-escalation techniques for individuals with autism spectrum disorder, or specifics regarding people’s mobility needs which can be critical during a fire evacuation. Ottawa Fire Service will learn how having quick access to a MedicAlert subscribers health record can help someone in crisis.
