In 2025, MedicAlert made important progress toward a single goal: ensuring more Canadians are protected with the right health information, at the right moment, when it matters most.
It was a year of building, learning, and strengthening the foundations that allowed MedicAlert to grow its impact for years to come.
Across our strategic priorities, one theme stood out: focus leads to results.
Building Stronger Connections Through Partnerships
In 2025, we deepened our work with first responders and partner organizations across the country. These relationships are more than conversations—they are pathways that help MedicAlert reach people faster, integrate more effectively into emergency systems, and work alongside others who share our mission.
By shifting from informal collaboration to clearer, purpose-driven partnerships, we are creating stronger networks that support safer outcomes for people living with chronic health conditions and dementia.
For subscribers, this means MedicAlert is increasingly embedded in the systems designed to help in moments of crisis.
Expanding Access in New and Meaningful Ways
We also learned that impact doesn’t always come from doing things the “traditional” way.
Instead of building standalone projects or collaborations, we focused on aligning with organizations already influencing healthcare delivery, policy, and system change. This approach is opening doors—helping MedicAlert play an even more active role in shaping how essential health information is accessed and used across Canada.
This work lays the groundwork for greater reach, especially for people who face barriers to accessing care and support.
Strengthening the Technology Behind the Lifeline
Behind the scenes, 2025 was a critical year for strengthening MedicAlert’s technology and data systems.
We expanded our integration with the 9-1-1 beyond our original Ottawa-based pilot project to 13 additional 9-1-1 Call Centres bringing MedicAlert information closer to first responders when every second counts. At the same time, we continued advancing our GPS safety device initiative, moving it closer to the next phase of development.
These investments aren’t flashy—but they are essential. They ensure MedicAlert remains reliable, responsive, and ready to support subscribers as technology and emergency systems evolve.
What This Means for the Future
Just as important as what we accomplished in 2025 is what we learned.
We learned how to build smarter, not just bigger. And we learned how disciplined execution protects what matters most—our subscribers and the services you rely on.
Thank you for being part of our community—and for trusting MedicAlert to be there when it matters most.
