Sterling Silver Care and Cleaning
Maintain the brilliance of your Sterling Silver MedicAlert medical ID with a regular schedule of cleaning and be careful not to use an abrasive sponge, cloth or cleaner on your product as these will scratch the surface. Silver cleaning solutions offer the best results and are especially helpful in cleaning the chain and clasp quickly.

Tarnishing
Like all Sterling Silver products, over time and with continued wear, it may tarnish. In some cases, tarnishing may happen much faster when it comes in contact with chemical agents (like perfume, lotion and chlorine). Individuals with diabetes and individuals taking anticoagulants are also more likely to experience tarnishing.

Gold Care and Cleaning
Maintain the brilliance of your Gold MedicAlert medical ID with a regular schedule of cleaning and be careful not to use an abrasive sponge, cloth or cleaner on your product as these will scratch the surface. Jewelry cleaning solutions offer the best results and are especially helpful in cleaning the chain and clasp quickly.

Gold Filled Care and Cleaning
While gold filled pieces are a more affordable gold alternative, please keep in mind that gold filled pieces are prone to tarnishing as they aren’t karat gold. We recommend regularly cleaning gold filled jewelry pieces to ensure the longevity of the item.

Clean your gold filled pieces using mild soapy warm water and allow enough time for the piece to dry before wearing it again. Avoid all abrasive or ammonia-based substances (i.e. toothpaste, baking soda) to keep the original finish of your product intact. Jewelry cleaning solutions offer the best results and are especially helpful in cleaning the chain and clasp quickly.

Gold filled jewelry will be affected by water (i.e. wearing while swimming, gardening, washing dishes) as chemical reactions with chlorine and other elements can lead to the piece tarnishing. You can also delay tarnishing by regularly polishing jewelry. Gold filled products are not recommended for those living with diabetes as some medical conditions may cause products to tarnish.

Swarovski Elements Care and Cleaning
Beaded or strung jewelry is considerably more fragile than chain bracelets. Store your jewelry in a soft pouch or a padded box separate from other jewelry to avoid scratches. An occasional buffing with a soft cloth will help maintain its original finish. Avoid exposing the bracelet to chemicals unnecessarily. Although SWAROVSKI ELEMENTS' beads are resistant to wear, scratches, perspiration, perfumes and washing, we recommend removing your bracelet before swimming or heavy exercise.

Leather Care and Cleaning
Place a small amount of gentle, moisturizing soap on a damp cloth and work it into a light lather. Rub the damp cloth on the leather without getting the leather too wet. Using a fresh damp cloth, wipe off the leather. Do not use water to rinse the leather. Polish the item with a dry towel. After it has dried completely, treat the leather with a leather conditioner. Avoid contact with all chemicals and perfume while wearing this product. Remove your bracelet before swimming or heavy exercise.

Fabric Care and Cleaning
Place a small amount of gentle, moisturizing soap on a damp cloth and work it into a light lather. Rub the damp cloth on the fabric without getting the fabric too wet. Using a fresh damp cloth, wipe off the fabric. Do not use water to rinse the fabric. Allow the fabric to completely dry before wearing. Avoid contact with all chemicals while wearing this product as it will discolor the fabric.

Stainless Steel Care and Cleaning
Maintain the brilliance of your Stainless Steel MedicAlert medical ID with a regular schedule of cleaning and be careful not to use an abrasive sponge, cloth or cleaner on your product as these will scratch the surface. Silver cleaning solutions offer the best results.
