Cobourg Police Service Partners With MedicAlert To Support Vulnerable Persons
The Town of Cobourg is a very diverse community with a strong need for the MedicAlert
Connect Protect program. Cobourg has a healthy population of aging citizen as well as many public members that could require this great service one day.
Currently the Cobourg Police Service has a vulnerable persons registry that just does not meet the needs of the community any longer and this has be recognized. The Cobourg Police are thrilled that they will be able to better assist members of the community at the time of a serious event with this new powerful MedicAlert registry.
This partnership between policing agencies and MedicAlert has proven effective in other Canadian communities in assisting individuals living with autism, Alzheimer’s, dementia, Fetal Alcohol Spectrum disorders, mental health related issues, and cognitive brain injuries.
Cobourg Police Service and MedicAlert will be introducing this partnership by holding community focused information and registration sessions at 107 King St West in Cobourg Ontario on Tuesday November 12, 2019 for the launch of the MedicAlert Connect Protect service.
