As the Manager of Volunteer and Community Engagement, he’s a familiar and welcoming face at community events, always eager to spread the word about MedicAlert’s life-saving services. Peter’s love for connecting with people and sharing inspiring stories led him to create the podcast he’d always envisioned. MedicAlert is pleased to announce that in November we are launching our first-ever podcast, MedicAlert Matters! Tune in for the opportunity to learn more about MedicAlert, our subscribers, our staff, our First Response partners, and more. 

Here are some frequently asked questions explaining our podcast, and how it will work: 

What is a podcast? 

In MedicAlert’s case, our podcast is a series of hosted conversations that MedicAlert subscribers and the general public can listen to. The MedicAlert Matters podcast is hosted by our very own Peter Lawrence, a 20-year veteran of MedicAlert, and our Manager of Volunteer and Community Engagement. Peter will be speaking to a variety of MedicAlert stakeholders, to hear all the different ways MedicAlert can be part of someone’s life. In some cases, he’ll learn about how MedicAlert has helped save a life. 

Peter’s conversations with various MedicAlert guests will be available to watch as videos on YouTube, or in audio format for you to listen to on your phone, computer, tablet, or other devices. 

How do I listen to the MedicAlert podcast? 

You will find our podcast episodes available on our website in November. We’ll link to some of the most common podcast streaming platforms, like Spotify, which is where many people stream and download their podcasts. You can listen to the episodes through our website, or by downloading our episodes to your favourite podcasting app. We’ll also link to our YouTube channel, where you can watch the video of our podcast conversations, at your convenience. 

How much do I have to pay to listen to the podcast? 

Our podcast is free! You don’t have to pay anything at all to hear Peter’s conversations. 

How frequently will there be new episodes of the podcast? 

The MedicAlert Matters podcast will produce a new episode four times each year. The first episode will debut in November 2024, and then four more new episodes will be produced during 2025.
