Artist Matthew Nuqingaq drew inspiration from the Inuit Circumpolar Legend of Kiviuq to create the distinctive Qayaq design for MedicAlert. Kiviuq is the eternal Inuit. His adventures and travels by qayaq (kayak) are a vital part of Inuit oral traditions and storytelling, passed down through generations. The details of the Kiviuq legend varies among the Inuit peoples but a central theme that often emerges is resilience and survival: Kiviuq's stories highlight his remarkable resilience and adaptability in the face of adversity – a sentiment that clearly parallels what we do at MedicAlert. Nuqingaq’s stunning, clean line design is emblematic of his highly sought after pieces that have been worn by the likes of King Charles, Sophie Gregoire and other notable individuals. Please note this necklace has limited space for engraving and is most suited for individuals with fewer health conditions to be engraved. This product does not contain any nickel and is suitable for individuals who have metal allergies. Also available with red enamel accents.
