Stay up-to-date on all things MedicAlert!
A Message from our CEO, Leslie McGill
I am pleased to welcome you to MedicAlert! As a 40+ year subscriber myself (you can read my story here), I can assure you that you made the right decision.
For more than six decades, MedicAlert has performed a pivotal role at the intersection of public safety and health care by providing high quality health information to the first responder community when it matters most.
This year, we’re excited to bring Canadians what we call MedicAlert 2.0. Thanks to the tremendous support of donors, we have completely overhauled our 20-year-old digital backbone to the latest in technology designed to manage your critical health information. New partnerships, mean we will connect directly to the 9-1-1 system in our nations capital this year in a pilot project called HELP 9-1-1 where first responders will have information while on route to an emergency. And we’re really excited to be introducing brand new services as the result of several research projects we undertook over the past two years. Don’t worry, we’ll give you plenty of notice as we get ready for these services to launch. If you’re a parent or a caregiver of someone who lives with Alzheimer’s or dementia, I’m sure you’ll be very interested in what we have planned for 2023.
Thanks for putting your trust in MedicAlert!
Stay safe,

Ways to Give
From humble beginnings in 1961, MedicAlert has grown to be one of the most critical and well-respected charities in Canada working at the intersection of public safety and healthcare. There isn’t anyone we’ve come across who doesn’t know and respect the work that we do. Much of our work happens behind the scenes and is supported by generous donors. You can learn more about our fundraising efforts and how you can help by clicking on the donate button at the top of our website.

The Impact of MedicAlert
MedicAlert doesn’t only provide health information to first responders. We spend countless hours advocating for people who consider themselves to be at higher risk because of their health conditions. We conduct research with academic partners that helps us to understand more about how we can improve the system and support those who are at elevated risk. The impact of our work is broad reaching and critical.
