MedicAlert announces two new Board members

“We are pleased to welcome Edward and Ahmad to our Board. Both are knowledgeable health care leaders with extensive governance experience. Each will bring valued perspectives to the Board as MedicAlert evolves to meet the needs of our current and future subscribers,” said Doug Craig, MedicAlert Foundation Canada’s Board Chair. 

Edward Odumodu is an accomplished pharmacist and entrepreneur with a breadth of experience in retail pharmacy, benefits administration, and the pharmaceutical sector. A pioneering thinker and strategist, Edward has been at the forefront of business and governance innovation, in both Canada and the United States. He holds an MBA from Duke University, a Bachelor of Science, Pharmacy from the University of Toronto, and a Bachelor of Arts, Economics from McGill University.

Ahmad Zbib is a highly skilled executive and business leader with a wealth of experience in mission-based organizations, fundraising, and public health. An innovative leader serving on various mission leadership and strategy teams, Ahmad led business development nationally and, most recently, as an executive lead for Canada's largest division at The Arthritis Society. He holds an MD in General Medicine from Kauno Medicinos Universitetas (Lithuanian University of Health Sciences), and a Bachelor of Science, Biology from American University of Beirut.

MedicAlert Foundation Canada would like to thank retiring Board member Salimah Walji-Shivji for her dedication and commitment to MedicAlert for the past nine years. Her contributions have been invaluable.
