A collab with a twist! Designer and Founder of Biko, Corrine Anestopoulos is proud to share her most popular design for MedicAlert's Limited Edition Designer Collection. The Arden Convertible Lariat is dynamic and versatile, and can be worn multiple ways, each with its own statement. Featuring a genuine flameball pearl, a sleek, light-catching staple chain and a custom "invisible" spring clasp, the MedicAlert twist on the Biko Arden charm is a complely custom, beautifully organic MedicAlert medallion in gold vermeil! We're thrilled Anetopoulos wanted to add this ultra-modern emblem design to complement her original vision for the Arden collection. Sleek and confident, Arden is an easy, classic piece you can dress up or down for any occasion. This product is hypoallergenic.

What is gold vermeil?

Gold vermeil has some key elements that make it distinctive and superior to gold plating. Vermeil is a technique originating in the 19th century, where gold is applied to sterling silver. Gold vermeil is made in a similar style to gold plating but requires a thicker layer of gold. The gold layer must be above 2.5 microns, creating a finish that is five times thicker than average gold plating, and far more durable.
